I've walked the same path you are on...
When I moved to Canada from Nigeria, I was armed with years of professional experience. I quickly discovered that the Canadian job market played by a completely different set of rules.
Like many Newcomers, I sent out dozens of applications, heard “we went with another candidate” more times than I could count, and often felt invisible despite my skills.
